Looks Nice, Too Glitchy
Originality
Quality

It looks really nice, but she gets frozen if you try to move her when she is in the waiting animation. For this, the quality makes it rather unusuable in a level. The animations themselves are very nice though! The only other issue is that the camera moves as she breathes, which I don't think happens w/ the original standing animation.

This object is terrific! It is done to a very high quality; even above that of the original jump switch. The new meshes are absolutely wonderful, as there is now an actual trough that the switch slides through instead of the old solid half cylinder. I wasn't sure if the textures were new or not, so I did not rate those. The reset animation looks lovely. As for usability, well, anywhere you want the regular jump switch, put this one in its place. Even if you don't need it to reset, this switch is SO MUCH BETTER than the original. As for its originality, I'm not sure what to say. It is essentially an amped-up remake of an old object, so technically not horribly original. But, because of the new spin on it, and to not bring down the average rating of this wonderful item, I've given that a 10 as well. Way to go, Piega! :-)

Uh thanks? I hate to say it but this switch IS original. I did not modify it :) I uploaded this item as many people dont seem to know this switch. The normal jumpswitch can only be used once. Sometimes I see a request for this so I just added it to my list. Originally this switch comes from the Tomb Of Semerkhet. When you lose the game you will go a different route underground. You will come across this switch that triggers timed flames. Personally I love to lose and take this route as it has more mysterious locations and secrets. But thanks as now every item of mine has a review ;)

This is not bad at all, and an excellent Idea... but it is missing a few things that woud make it a lot better. Original ********** I thought this was rather original indeed. I mean, I have never seen anything like it before. Quality ******** The quality is a little low because of some of the problems with animations, textures, and MOSTLY: the missing items that NEED to be in the WAD but just aren't. Without adding your own items to the WAD for VEHICLE_EXTRA and PUZZLE_ITEM1, the thing would not work. Also, the sounds aren't right. Perhaps a nice litle electrical humm would be neat, but there isn't one. Useable ******* Only useable in Star Wars or space-like levels. Custom Textures ******** They looked okay, except for the texture that covered most of the vehicle. It was flat and plain. It could have been a little better. Custom Meshes ********** EXCELLENT! This is deffinately the best feature of this object. The all-new meshes are great. I did notice that there was a little bar on the underside that wasn't connected to anything. I don't think that was supposed to be there, but it cannot be seen in game. Custom Animations * I could have just not rated this, but I figured I had to. I mean, this kind of an object needs custom animations, but it had none that I could tell. This makes it look like a vehicle with wheels. I think the animations where it turned upward to go up a hill should have been changed so that it just lifted...like a real landspeeder. All in all, there's a pretty spiffy piece of equipment here, and deffinately a must-have for anyone building a Star-Wars (or even just space related) level. Jon

I liked this, and the idea was good, but there were just a few problems that make it hard to work with. Original: Yep... original--never seen something like this before. Quality: Not bad, but some of the things don't work right. For example, after shooting off twice, there should be two shells that fall to the ground... but there is only one. Useable: When can't Lara use a gun :p ? Custom Textures: Okay. Except that occasionally it looks like there is more than two barrels because of the white line on the barrel. Custom Meshes: WAY TOO BIG! The meshes look fine and all, but the gun is a way too big for Lara. It is longer than her from what I could see... and that isn't good. This problem also shows up in other places. After picking up the gun parts of it swing off screen because of its large size. In the inventory the gun is swinging around and hitting all of the things next to it because it is so long. Custom Animations: Here are perhaps some of the biggest problems. The holding animation is not vary good. Lara's arm sticks through the gun... or the gun sticks through her arm (it's one of those). There is no kickback when she fires the gun... she just whips it around like it's a stick or something. She fires off the rounds way too fast. I don't know if it is possible--I am guessing that it is not--, but perhaps it would be possible to have the gun in there shoot two off and then reload? Speaking of reloading. It doesn't. I mean, I have to continue holding the Action button even after having fired off both shots, else she won't reload. Then, when she does reload, it is a little too fast, like the shooting. It seems like the animation was a little too fast. And I believe I have to hit enemies the same number of times to wipe 'em out. Did she trade in a single barrel for a double that was half as strong and had to be reloaded just as often? Also. When she is just having it set on her back... it looks a little wierd. How is she supposed to do her Lara-stunts with such a large gun... so I guess that is more of a mesh issue. All this aside, I think this was not too bad. It needs a little work. The animations look like they are realistic--save for where there is no kickback--, but they are too fast. I think there are some things here that could not be changed... but I am not sure. I would assume that double-barrel shotguns just don't work out well for the TRLE. If it is possible, I would engourage you to try and fix some of these errors... especially the obviously unmanagable size. Sorry if I sounded a little harsh, but I think with some work this could be good. It is, afterall, an EXCELLENT idea. I hope you work on this more to give us a few more improvements. GREAT idea, it really has potential to be an EXCELLENT weapon of choice. Jon Edited by trplayer

Star Night Horizon
by MrNiceGuy
Best night horizon I've seen
Originality
Quality
Meshes

I really liked this one. It was very realistic. I believe this is the best night-time horizon I have ever seen. Original (9): I don't believe I've seen many night-time star horizons. Any I have seen were rather poorly done. Quality (10): I saw no holes in the mesh, and it is set up very nicely so that the part where the moon is textured remains square so as not to stretch it. I don't know what to say about the clouds. They were very faint and only visible off to the side. It almost seems as though setting them up is more work than its worth; but it does add a little to the sky. Useable (8): As the author himself said, this horizon has limited uses, but most horizons do anyway; don't they? Textures (10): WOW! These stars are very detailed with very good placement on the mesh. The only thing that looked a little odd was the moon. I think it looks a little big... almost like it is falling from the sky. But maybe that is just becuase in the north I only ever see a small moon. Meshes (9): A nine because it seems as though he created this himself. Not a ten, though, because the mesh doesn't seem to hard to make... then again, it's only an horizon. Great work! Outstanding! I'll definetely be using this whenever I need a night-time horizon. Jon

Beautifull, just beautifull!!!
Quality

Love this object, it is so well done, I would have expected a whole recoding of the game file to get something like this, but this is truly surprising and AMAZING!!! Quality - Everything is perfect in how it is made, and so easy to setup. Only error I noticed is that Lara seems not to be exactly on the centre of the rope. Useable - So USEABLE. There's always a place for a rope in any level... especially when it is this well designed! Custom Animation - Animations are great... though in the ReadMe it does say something about them having come from TRC... but still great! Overall... EXCELLENT! Excpect to see this in one of my upcoming levels. TRPlayer

The pole is right from TRC it needs to be moved over in meta or made a little bigger i figured level builders would make thier own its real easy. It took me long enuff just to get it to work perfectly. that was the hard part thanks for the good review.

TR2Gold - Thug
by EssGee
Very Well Done!
Quality

This was just the object I had been looking for. I is just like the thug from TR2! Quality: The meshes are beautiful, but the AI is a little off; there is a little running into walls, but other than that, PERFECT. Useable: Very Useable...I mean, what level can't do with an enemy ready to beat Lara down at the first sight. I am also pleased with how well I was helped when I had difficulty getting the sounds to work. Using this object was fast, easy and smooth! EXCELLENT JOB! TRPLAYER @#
