Absolutely brilliant. I am playing this game at the moment and this is such a good adaption of the original character. No, it's not the first time its been tried but this is like the real McCoy so Originality cannot be marked down. The whole character is of the highest quality using a complex texture set based on the original game textures. The custom meshwork really reproduces Cate Archer's character well. The model may not get much of a run as it is specific to a non TR Game. Hence useability is slightly limited although the outfit is in all other ways practical, but believe me trying to master the NOLF Editor is quite a handful and building a NOLF level in TR format is a much easier proposition. Hand me the exploding Kitty. :)

Heh, one of those reviews it's fun to read! :D I'm glad to see you liked it, and I hope to see some NOLF levels soon! ;)

Nice to see this custom texture job of the TR1 Mummy Mutant. Originality is limited to the custom textures and these have been chosen and applied well. Thanks for the nice acknowledgements too. Its kind of hard to review this one objectively as I am of course very close to this enemy. I can say pretty confidently though that the enemy does work properly, and hope that now the original beast has been unleashed that it will spawn offspring like this one. Alas, it would be nice to see a review or two for the originals that I recreated (insert not too subtle hint LOL). So what you get here is a custom texture job using some nice detailed green and brown textures and high detail eyes. The green textures give the beast a sort of leathery, warty appearance which looks effective. I can see this thing coming out of a steamy swamp somewhere. These textures make the enemy perhaps useable in jungle or mossy style levels, but could also be suited to Tomb or Castle style levels. Although there is a custom die animation, this was part of the original that I did so I shall count it here. Nice adaptation.

Mobile Snake

Originality: What a great innovation - to essentially add mobility to the TR3 snake. Folks - We're talkin' a big 2 metre slitherer with some attitude to get Lara. Quality: A high quality new enemy with very realistic custom animations - I would expect nothing less from Jackie. Meshes & Textures: I'm unsure whether these are custom or the ones from TR3. So I have treated them as standard. Apologies if this is incorrect. Either way - the textures are applied well to the meshes and the meshes work well together to provide a smooth working enemy. Useability: There are so many situations a snake could be used so I really cannot mark this down. The enemy functions perfectly and has the correct snake sounds added and supplied. Custom animations: There has been great care taken here to provide some very smooth slthering animations - terrific work.

well, the textures are the original TR3 one, but half of the snake's meshes are made by me :) and well, all meshes are edited to add back the missing faces which is pretty invisible to the original snake but visible to the one i made.

Originality: It's true (as Trinity suggests) - a good old every day fridge is a missing commodity in home levels (well except for the the big meat room in Lara's house). So now you can add this modern appliance to your home level. I would have definitely used this in bERT's world if it had been available then. Useability: Highly useable in any modern home level or kitchen/ restaurant situations but this is also its slight limitation. Custom textures: The Fridge cow is a cute addition. I'm not too keen on the fridge texture though. Because its applied on a large area the shade banding is very obvious. Its also greyish and this is a whitegood - perhaps an upgrade on the paint job is in order?? The collison is correct but the Strpix light editor needs to be used to brighten the object up as it appears as a dull dark grey object at the moment. Custom meshes: The mesh is an excellent model of a modern fridge, but does need resizing (maybe the fridge belongs to a demigod LOL - it looks about 3 metres tall!!) because Lara's eye level is with the join between the fridge and freezer. A minor re-scale of the mesh should bring it down to size.

Originality: This is very original, bringing another lead character from another game to the TR format. I have played a bit of the demo of this so I'm familiar with the character. Quality: There is excellent use of custom textures and detailed custom meshes. this contributes to especially nice detail on the hair. I noticed one tiny gap in one of the rear leg meshes, but this is very picky. There is also an added special shotgun weapon - not sure what it is though (maybe if I played a bit more of the game I would know LOL)- a sort of wooden pipe thing, but there are no sounds associated with it and in Lara's animation for this weapon she sort of just pushes this forward when attacking with it. Not sure if this is a custom animation or not so I won't review it as such. Useability: As an action character there are no restrictions on using Jade as the outfit is suitable for pretty nuch any siuation. As with any non Lara model there may be a limited role for this though as many builders prefer to retain 'Lara' in their game but I'm not marking down for this. Suggestions: Just a little picky thing - looking at the real Jade - she appears to have very dark eyes and a slightly oriental look about her, giving her a slightly tougher appearance. In this model the eyes are green and have an almost 'too cute' look. I know a lot of work has gone into this outfit - but these improvements might make the model look even better. Nonetheless an excellent custom characterisation.

Thank you for your reveiw and suggestions! :) As for the eyes, Jade does have green eyes. When playing BGE she has very noticable and pretty green eyes. In some pictures of Jade she looks tough but when playing the game all the way Jade has a very sweet personality. :) I tryed my best to capture Jade's personality in this outfit. And I again thank you for your reveiw! :D

Originality: Great custom mesh - plenty of detail on the head and body. The creator has captured the feel of these type of stone statues. Useability: Would be great for adding some detailed architecture to any old stone building or graveyard tomb. The object sits with the head 'sort of' face downwards, so it is ideal object for hanging off the top of any stone structure. Quality: The mesh is well detailed. The stone textures are a 'mouldy' grey/green colour (several textures are used to give a bit of grain texture to the object) but are very effective and the eye and mouth textures are clear considering its a stone object. Suggestions: The collision is too big on the object however and should be fixed using FexAnim. This won't matter if the object is placed high up on a building out of Lara's reach. But if the object is placed where Lara can get at it, it looks kinda strange with an extra wide collision field. Edited by EssGee

Great conversion of this Dungeon Keeper character. I haven't played that game, but from my recollection of the game cover this is a terrific adaptation of it. Useability. This enemy would be a great asset to any hellish/lava type level. But I don't see this as a restriction to mark this category down. It's up to your imagination. The Mesh work is of high standard (love the nose ring!!)and the custom textures are very well done. The enemy is fully functional and uses Demigod 3 animations. Don't forget to include the BUBBLES item in your wad if you use this in a level for the blast animations or else he will shoot Lara Butts. It might be nice to replace the standard demigod growls and footsteps sound samples with some heavier thumping steps and a more demonic growl to give the enemy a little more of its own 'character'. Good Stuff

Static Boxes

Originality: Whilst a pair of storage boxes is not a particularly original concept - this static object presents a simple, effective and functional pair of boxes which should find a home in plenty of levels. Quality: This static has high quality woodgrain and strapping textures so they look superb. Useability: The object can be used in almost any situation to provide 'eye candy' in a street or storage area. The collision of the object is correct. Nice touch to add the dxf file so that others can customise the mesh. It might be nice to conevrt this to a shatter object to hide some goodies under. Good job Edited by EssGee

This is a stunning adaptation of this complex Starwars costume. The face textures are excellent. I can't wait to see the other outfits in the creator's series. The creator states in the readme that guns should not be used with this outfit, however they work fine with the costume. There is unfortunately what I call the 'chewing gum' effect of the stretched polygons from the wrists to the guns. So this should be fixed. (Note to creator: Screenshots supplied if required) The outfit is probably best not used for swimming as the coat is static and looks awkward in the water, but this is a minor gripe. Useability is the only limitation as this is highly specific to Starwars theme. But who cares! - this is the sort of outfit that inspires a builder to start building again. IMO - Brilliant!

Thank you so much for the wonderful reveiw! And the outfit is now updated and it no longer has the 'bubble gum chewing effect'. ;)
