Place this exe in your existing TRViewer folder. So you don't overwrite your existing exe
this exe has been named "TRViewer1083rev5b.exe".

New version of TRCatalog.xml not included in this download. Download previous rev5 version to get it.

Important:

This version is based on E. Popov's 1.083 sourcecode and not Paolone's 1.084 version but now includes Paolone's code.(Thanks Paolone!)

Paolone's 1.084 can fix errors in TR files.

I suggest you use Paolone's version and only use this version if you need to use a feature not available
in Paolone's 1.084.

I only made very minor changes (I'm not a C++ expert) and hopefully didn't create any new bugs or instability.

Fixed 5 bugs (maybe!):

1) Older versions of TRViewer let you "pick" a vertex on a static mesh to change the lighting using the numpad "+" and "-".
"Pick" means select a vertex in the 3D view and have the selected vertex display red.
This ability is missing from version 1.083 so I have attempted to restore it. You can only pick a vertex when vertices are
shown for a mesh.

2) When you export a moveable or mesh to 3DS, if the TGA height for the moveable or mesh is more than 256, TRViewer 1.083 crashes.
This version should export ok. Importing the meshes back from 3DS however will result in incorrect texturing for any UVs on the TGA at a height more than 256 pixels.

3) When exporting a moveable, TRViewer 1.083 will not export the TGA if any of the meshes have no vertices or faces.
(See title.tr4, animating3 - the boat)
This version will export the TGA as long as at least one mesh is exported.

4) The captions on the "Show/Hide" buttons in the toolbox now match what is displayed. In version 1.083 if you show the vertices
on a mesh and then select a moveable and then select a mesh again the vertices aren't shown but the button caption says "Hide".

5) Certain combinations of texture sizes for a mesh cause TRViewer to crash. See level xmasdreams by mugs for example
where the textures for PUZZLEDONE4, FURNITURE0 and FURNITURE4 cause TRViewer to crash. This version processes those
combinations of texture sizes correctly.

Made some changes:

1) Lights are no longer created in the 3DS file when a moveable or mesh is exported to 3DS.

2) Sounds in the sound toolbox are listed in numerical order not alphabetical.

3) If there is a problem parsing a TR4 level it should abort loading and not crash.

4) Because I do not know fully the code to correct all animation errors this version will notify if it finds a problem animation
that Paolone's code is unable to fix.
The problem animation will be skipped. For this reason the level will have missing data so DO NOT SAVE over the original level.
TRViewer sometimes gets the number of keyframes for an anim wrong and when it is reading the keyframes for animations at the end of the
animations list and it will try to read data that doesn't exist which causes a crash.

5) For TR4, to export a Lara animation to 3DS you no longer need to export the Lara Skin meshes and reimport them over
Lara and then export to 3DS. Any dummy mesh for any of Lara's moveables should be replaced with the correct skin mesh when
exporting to 3DS. Note the non dummy meshes will be exported but will have incorrect texturing. You need to export the TGA for
the moveable separately and assign it to a new material and assign that to the non dummy mesh in your 3D program. Note from
revision 4 this feature is only available if you have checked Show real meshes in the Options>Display menu or in the ToolBox.

6) VERSION 5b: Have reinstated the choice to save unused textures or not when saving the level - requested by HeinzFritz.

7) For TR4 levels created with NGtom2pc (NG levels), an "NG" icon will appear in the document title bar.

8) When adding an animation by importing, the speed for the animation will be 0 and not 15. It is unknown whether this
change will make TRViewer more unstable. Still to be tested.

9) TRViewer didn't calculate the sounddetail flags and values correctly due incorrect TRosetta. I tried to fix this. May still be wrong for non TR4 files.
May still be wrong for TR4 files since this code was added before Lwmte decoded the sounddetails for the OpenTomb project.

10) VERSION 5b: Version 5a allows TRViewer to import levels with non standard AnimCommands (i.e. TREP levels) but alerted the user with an
annoying pop up message for every command. In version 5b the pop up message has been disabled.

This version includes code by meta2tr to load and save TR4 levels with v130 soundmaps and to load and save the NG header for NGLE levels.

This is still a work in progress so do not rely on it! Make backups of levels.
Only TR4 levels are being tested with these changes.

The full version of MS Visual C++ should have been used to modify this program but since I don't have it I have used MS Visual C++ Express 2008.
This may cause problems but I don't know. You may need the free VisualC 2008 redistributable from MicroSoft to run the program.

For next major version I hope to calculate keyframes for anims correctly to stop crashes.
