First things first - well done on releasing your first thing! *applause* Second thing, the review itself ;) Originality: 9 We only have a few paintings here, and the texture is not from any tomb raider game as far as I know, so 9. Quality: 6 It's a real shame because you did the frame nicely, but the picture itself in the framed version is a very odd colour compared to the original and extremely pixellated - also, in the 3D TRLE world the flat frame will look odd - rather than have this as a texture, it would be nice to have it as an object with a simple yet 3D frame - it wouldn't be too much harder, but would make all the difference. Finally, the textures are only very small - bearing in mind that NGLE can cope with 256x256 textures, using only 64x64 is relatively low quality, so i can't really award any more marks here. It's a pity because the frame texture itself was quite nice! Useable: 9 A fairly useable painting - tombs, homes, museums, fairly good! Also, the upside of it being 64x64 is that it's useable in the original LE as well as NGLE, so that's one good thing even though it does reduce quality. Textures: 7 Mostly said what I wanted to say in quality here - the texture wasn't bad, but the pixellation and size was dodgy Well done overall, an average of 7.75 overall is good for a first try. Keep going!

Well done, these objects are fantastic! It's been ages since somebody has taken the time to make really good Tomb Style columns (myself included - i stopped after the neat manor columns!) and these are just great. It's lovely that you chose to create a broken column, which immediately heightens useability, and it looks great ingame and the shading is nice. The textures are somewhat repetetive, but it doesn't matter that much. The thing that really makes me love these columns is the colour change - it's great, and the darker, brown shade makes them look good in jungles and cambodia-esque levels. These columns could be used almost anywhere, they are well made with a nice shape, just great! Well done!

We\'ve waited for quite a while, but it was worth it. This TRU outfit is just fantastic, it\'s well built and the quality is superb. I\'m not a fan of the outfit itself, but you captured the TRU style very well and I\'m impressed with how you managed to get the hair looking just right. Originality: 8 It\'s a remake of a remake, so in effect isn\'t that original, but because of the new head it\'s higher. Quality: 10 Everything works perfectly, the joints all fit well and the new ones work seamlessly. The high vertex count together with good texturing means this has to be a ten. Textures: 8 This outfit really was well textured - some textures like the eyes and the top really impressed me, but I felt that you rushed the backpack and boots, they lacked detail and innovation, and there were a couple of spots around the ear and jaw that looked untextured. The hair was great, and the eye textures were just fantastic, so still an 8. Meshes: 8 The head was really impressive - the shape was good, the hair flawless, but a couple of things annoyed me. I thought the lack of eyelashes looked very strange, and I\'m certain she has had eyelashes in the screenshots of the outfit we\'ve seen. Each mesh itself was well done, but I felt as a whole it looked odd - the waist was too straight, the breasts too big, and the arms a little unnatural in comparison with the rest of the body. Also - although the nose looks fantastic as a mesh, I believe that because of the limitations of having to place each vertex directly on a point, and not allowing for decimals, it ends up being slightly the wrong shape and it gave Lara the impression of sneering slightly, and lit oddly in some environments. I would recommend personally that in future you stick to the simpler shape of nose you\'ve used in the past, and allow the textures to create the detail, rather than the mesh. It was a really great outfit, I hope you can use the textures from TRU itself when they come out to improve the backpack, boots, belt etc. Edited by MaskedRaider

I was just idly browsing today (as you do) when i came across these. They look really cool! I think I must have been away when they were released because I really don't remember them. It's a shame that objects like these don't have a wider use in the trle world. Originality: 10 Well, there honestly isn't much like this here, and from what I can see you have used some of your own textures and your own meshes. Quality: 8 Well, some of the textures on the bottom don't quite fit, and there are plenty of unnescessary polygons - the table has two rows of faces when only one is needed, doubling the count. Useability: 8 Well, the problem is not many people are building levels involving cities where these could be used (at the moment - but there is a market people!) but i can really picture these in shady clubs like Le Serpent Rouge, run-down backstreet shops in Cairo, old-fashioned apartments etc. so they do have a wide range of locations where they fit. Textures: 8 Like I said before, it's just the fact that some of them don't quite tile as well as one might like. Meshes: 10 The meshes are really good, I love how the table fits round a column, it means they can be used effectively in the space. I knocked a few points off quality for the too-high-polygon count, so I will keep this at a ten :)

Wow - another new outfit so soon after your last? I hope this Lara line continues into the future! For me this outfit is particularly impressive because of the way you've combined the stretch dress mesh and trouser mesh into a long coat, something which has never been attempted before. The affect is great, and the length is just right so we get the feel for the coat but manage to retain it's realism - any longer and the mesh would stick out too far in climbing and crawling animations. When doing these things at the moment she looks very good - what you've done really well is to keep the textures in the *cough* crotch plain enough for them to blend nicely with the thigh joints, without detracting from the outfit. Understated is beautiful here! Originality: 10 Like I said before, a completely new thing to see. Well done. Also, the new head adds to its originality, along with the inclusion of your lovely crossbow. Quality: 10 Again, a ten because you were able to overcome the problems using the stretch dress mesh and still get a really good look. It would be nice to have a scream_head though. However, seeing as it isn't there, there's nothing to detract points from! Useability: 8 As is always the problem with casual outfits it's difficult to use, and people might get annoyed eventually with the one or two thigh joint positions that look odd - no fault of yours, just the engine at work. Texturing: 10 I honestly couldn't find anywhere where the texturing wasn't seamless - the shoes were a little plain, but the face textures, the coat and the jeans (superbly difficlt because of triangles in the mesh) were completely fantastic, transitioning as if wrapped, rather than cut+pasted. Meshes: 9 I only gave a nine here as a matter of personal preference - for me Lara's face was slighltly odd. The lips would have benefitted from a few extra polygons I think, and the nose looks a little short from the side. The chin is nicely done, and the back of the jaw is the best I've ever seen it done. The front locks of hair are excellent - the only other reason for the nine is I thought the backpack was a little small - was it smaller than in the 'Fetish' outfit? It seemed so for some reason. Perhaps because the coat was thicker and made it smaller by comparison. The ankle and knee joints were fantastic, and overall your proportioning is excellent. I love Lara having a fuller figure - the new Lara I'm in the process of making is at least... *goes to check* 8 points wider at it's thinnest point than the latest Po Yu model. Kudos to you for keeping her slightly bigger too ;) Well, I don't write alot in a review unless there's so much that's good to talk about! Whatever you do, whatever your download number reaches, and whatever other people think about this outfit, be proud of it. You deserve to be. Yours, Nick

Sorry - but straight tens for this?

Hate to be harsh, but this is a quick little recolour of a Po Yu outfit - the face (easily the hardest texturing job) has been done by po yu, and his other textures are just recoloured, they're not even new. No new meshwork has been attempted. The textures look fine, but it's basically just a rip of his outfit with a dark top. Quality is fairly high admittedly, but the recolouring of the textures has made the shadows and bumps look very fake. This is an outfit for private use in your level - why bother releasing it? Your level is really fantastic, don't bother releasing its outfit! It's useability is lowered slightly because it is custom created for your level - people will see it as an outfit 'from that guy Mike's level' and it can ruin the atmosphere.

Well, it's certainly been a while since your previous objects - i believe you did release an object pack before? This character is very good - pretty well made, textured, and altoghether good. The breakdown - Originality: 9 The very first Anaya here - but Anaya is still originally a Legend character so i can't really give it a ten out of ten. Sorry! Quality: 8 The textures and meshes fit well, but as you mentioned there are some little bugs, and the tr3 style meshes on the legs and arms can look quite bad in some styles of lighting. Useability: 9 The demand for guides and training levels in the big-project LE world today is high, so this is very useable. Sadly, it does require the Lara biography of Legend to use, and many are wanting to return to the classics. However, good guides are in short supply and I think that people will be clamouring to use this in their level. Textures: 9 Many parts of this outfit are really well textured - the gloves are fantastic, and the face textures look great, apart from some wierd shading around her nose. The bandana is textured really well, and the shirt is nice. It's only little areas like the blank boots and the plain-looking shorts that stop you from getting a ten here. Meshes: 7 The meshes are nice for some parts - I love how you did the shirt, and the mesh is fantastic, and up there with the best IMO. However, your use of tr3 meshes brings the rating down - if you ever did decide to update this outfit, some new meshes could really bring it up to the 9/10 bracket. Also, the face looks a little angry, but that's just personal taste. It's quite realistic. Overall, i really do like this, and its only little things that stop this from being really really good. I'm happy to offer you help in any way, shape or form then i will because i believe this item has real potential, as do you as a creator. Well done!

Well, you read my mind! I know for sure many people have been looking for stuff like this for a while, nobody got around to making them though! These are well done, and because they are fully 3D they are more 'original' in concept than most doors / gates around on the SE. Their quality is high - I didn't give a ten because the 8 click high gate isn't always useful - perhaps a 6-click high would have been better. They are very useable though, gates like these can be indluded just about anywhere, so well done! The meshes were sound - nothing particularly taxing, but good all the same. Although the textures are very plain, they look basically metallic ingame with decent lighting. It would have been nice to see more effort here, but people can always texture themselves to suit their needs... Well done on these, i look forward to using them - nice work. This animation is superb! Not only is it original and fun, but it's smooth, sleek, and looks fab ingame. I really like this animation! (If you couldn't tell already) I don't usually rave review stuff, and animations I'm a real stickler for because one slip spoils the whole effect. This anim is wonderful - the only thing i might say is that when she flips she comes too far out from the ledge, it looks a tad unreal when viewed from the side. I can't mark down for that, because this is obviously of very high quality. It's a tad unrealistic anyway - but its how well made it is, not its practicality that gets in top marks. Well done!

A rather nice looking set - just a few kinks!
Originality

These are nice animations, and seeing as you haven't made many i was quite impressed by the quality; Originality: 9 They are new from what have been seen on this site before, but simply adding a new hand grab action doesn't quite get a full ten - still, they're different. Quality + Animations: 7 / 8 I couldn't decide which to award here, so i awarded an 8 for quality and 7 for animations so it evens out :). The start of the animation was very sleek and smooth, and there was a ten coming your way - but i played all the animations through and watched them carefully and the feet as Lara stands on the next ledge snap to place rather than moving there - it is almost as if there are a couple of frames missing. It is quite noticeable ingame that it's jerky here - but the overall quality of the start means you still get 7.5 Some nice stuff you've got going recently - keep working, and you'll be great!

I know that we have these new fangled high definition outfits these days, but this outfit for me really has a Tomb Raider spirit. The hat is wonderful, and the amount of new features for a creation of this period is fantastic! The bottle, the watch.... everything. I just love this outfit, downstraight! Ther's nothing really more to say. I hope i can get this sort of 'Lets go kick some mummy butt' attitude and style in my next oufit ;)

This outfit is without a doubt the best outfit I have ever seen, on trsearch or otherwise. What is so noticeable ingame is how every single joint has been recreated by TRANGEL, resulting in the smoothest Lara you have ever seen. It is a wonderful experience to see Lara looknig so lifelike. She is not flawlessly beautiful like the Legend Lara, but she is real, tough, and ready for action. If you have not already downloaded, do and see for yourself. Originality: ...?... Well, after the bombard of anniversary and classic remakes we've had prior to and after the release of anniversary, it can hardly have full marks. However, the fact that so much of this creation is fresh and new means i can only justify one mark knocked off. Actually, with another look, so much is new that oh what the heck i'll give it a ten. 10 Quality: 10 If there was an 11 mark for quality, then this outfit would get it. Like i said before, it is the smoothest outfit ever. The abs have pretty much double the polys of the original, and the ankles i think have even more. Editing joints is superbly tricky, and you've just done it. All the work that has been put into this outfit - many hours each day it seems - is thoroughly evident here. Useability: 10 The question is, who wouldn't use this? It's the classic outfit, it can go anywhere. Textures: 10 Superbly taken and modified from anniversary, each flows into the next as if it has been wrapped rather than placed on individual tiles. The shoulders and arms are flawless, as are the legs, and those are the trickiest parts to do. The way the meshes have been constructed make this possible. If yuo have the outfit open in strpix as i have now, then look at the hair! It flows without flaw or kink. Also, the cheeks and jaw, where most outfits don't quite tessalate properly, are just so smooth! Meshes: 10 This is, for me, the highlight of this outfit. The hip / bum mesh is superb. As the creator said over at trforums "No more Core Design Butt". And there really isn't. I've said so much of this before, but the joints are excellently crafted. I'm starting to ramble here *looks at all he has written in faint horror* so i need to wrap up. All in all, this outfit is perfection. The creator has obviously looked at this outfit, and has never once slapped on a wonky texture and gone "Oh, it'll do." This outfit has been worked and reworked until the final result is true, raiding bliss. You deserve more credit than anybody could give you for this outfit TRANGEL, and I for one am very grateful for all the time you put in to it. It's really paid off. Yours, Nick

These are nicely done guns, but they have lost their originalty a little now with so many remakes done. The quality also compared to some of the latest custom guns is a little poor. It would be great if you could apply your skills to making some better hands and just smoothen the textures a little I look forward to seeing more ;)

Morning! I'm not at all grumpy the UK lost eurovision rather spectacularly so I'm in fair mind for this review ;) Originality: 9 It's still from Legend (bar the hairstyle) so I can't really give you the full 10. Quality: 9 It's bug free, so well done! Useable: 9 I've never been too keen on the Winter coat, as it looks to pretty to bash down a tomb in but it is generally popular, so 9 Textures: 9 I think the face is a little too bright, as if she forgot her suncream, and I dislike the boot colour intensely (not your fault I know) - but the fact that they fit so flawlessly and look great on the mesh means I can't knock off more than one point. Meshes: 9 I'm afraid I still have a little thinnes problem (is thinness a word?) But they are so beautiful - 9! Well done TRANGEL!
