Hello Guys I would Really Appreciate If Someone Would Help With One Simple Problem... Im Making a project in wich I want to include a some kind of a puzzle from tr4...well its nearly a puzzle......... In the level Guardian OF Semerkhet,There is a part where you have to make the bull smash three buttons, each located on three columns in orther for the door to open! I have downloaded the sphinx(Bull)wad and also The animation8 object(The Button That the bull Must Smash) is included in that same wad! I do the Following: 1.Place The Animations On the Columns,trigger the animation and the bull to the same square and make it a heavy trigger!( I tested That and it worked) But When I trigger the door to the same squares as the animations are triggered I cannot set the trigger code bits for the door(The bull Must smash all three buttons so the door will open) Cause i get a message:"cannot Overlap Special Triggers" 2.Then I delete all triggers and try another way around, First I place heavy triggers for the door and the bull( and SEt the trigger code bits) And then I trigger the Animations! but Then when I tested it i realized That When the Bull hits The Button The Animation Doesnt start and the button remains not broken until he hits all three buttons and the doors open But then Suddenly All Buttons Appear Broken.....I dont Know what to do someone plz help Trigger and the button remains not broken! But When I make the bull Hit all three buttons Suddenly All Three Appear Broken And The Door Opens! Someone please! I will explain more in detail if needed.... would anyone like a tutorial on how to add extra levels into their game... 7 is just not enough! Anniversary home level: 75% (on ice) other levels in game: 0% (on ice) |

Use Wadmerger ( you can find it in the tools section of this site ) to place the objects you need in your Wad.
Open the wad you want to add stuff to in the left hand panel. Open the wad you want to take stuff from in the right hand panel. Copy the stuff you need from the right hand panel, into the left hand panel, and save the wad. Aza I AM NOT A NUMBER! I HAVE A NAME! I AM NOT A NUMBER!! DO YOU HEAR ME!?! I HAVE A NAME!! Are you sure you are overwriting the wad in the left hand panel when saving?

It sounds like you exported the tom with the wrong filename. If your wad is called mywad, and you export the tom as tut1, all the objects that you used from mywad but do not exist in tut1 will be changed into lara's bum. You must always use the same filename as you used for the wad when exporting the tom file. If you want to try the level out in the tut1 slot, rename it to tut1 after converting the level using tom2pc.

I don't know if this counts as a tutorial, but I would like examples of how to do the new script features with NGLE. I've read the manual for it, but it doesn't give examples and I'm lost. I think examples would really be helpful, so maybe there could be a FAQ about it on. I guess that's what I'm really asking for...

I think I might know what you need to do, I saw it on a tutorial on skribblerz for another type of puzzle, but I think it uses the same concept... so do what you did the first time, but instead of triggering the door, trigger a rolling ball that is in another room Lara cannot get to. the rolling ball will trigger the door to open and it you have three of them, then you can set the code bits in each of the triggers.
