Those objects look pretty cool. I'm no good with Meta X_X Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. |

Summer is coming to a close and I have to go back to school so here is a final update of what has been accomplished during my time off.
*warning* heavy reading ahead. I wouldn't blame you if you skipped to the new screens at the bottom After all of you guy's advice and tips I have raised my standards for level building. Because of that I haven't been building much lately. Instead I've gone back to levels I thought were done and gave them another look; improving lighting and removing or updating boring gameplay. The level setups have changed a bit as well. What was the 2nd level (Downtown Cairo) will now be a quick cutscene because I couldn't think of enough gameplay to justify building a whole city. But there will be the same number of levels because what was the bonus level is now the last level. I thought of a very poetic ending that I thought everyone deserved to see I have been building on two levels however so I do have new screens from them. First is from the museum.
This is one of the few fully furnished rooms. Other screens may come when I finish a few more custom objects. From the last level (actually split into 2 parts due to gliches I couldn't find solutions to)
first level is "Where the River Leads" and is pretty much several cutscenes...
with some gameplay in between. These next few are from the 2nd part of the last level called "Out From Ruin" All the areas are very different but trust me, it makes sense in the context of the level
I've also been animating a lot lately. Both of these are still rough so no video for now
...tightrope cartwheel.....forward polerope jump... I am planning on putting up a new gameplay video soon as well. I just haven't gotten around to it yet Anyway, longest post ever... I'm looking forward to your feedback so I can continue to improve Tomb Raider: LOST But Not Forgotten Current Status: 50% done Check out the trailer here. |
