Hello Michiel, If I try to open a TR2 or TR3 level from a CD, I get that error message and if I ok the message and try again Wadmerger refuses to open the CD. (This is with a normal wad not a v130.) I don't know if I am doing something wrong or it is an actual bug...
Thanks. |

Do you have the path to the main.sfx file set in the settings? In TR2 and 2 the sounds are stored in an external file, and if WADMerger can't find it you might get this error. If you open the settings dialog, you should see 3 red marked labels. Those are required if you want to extract TR2 and TR3 levels.
You can find the main.sfx file in the data folder. If you have TR2/3 fully installed on your HD, select that file. else select the one from the CD. The settings for TR2/3 might be the same in that case, so make sure the correct CD is inserted when extracting objects or they will get the wrong sounds.

One thing I wanted to know was, where the cutscene data folder was? Plus what's it needed for? Last edited by TRfan23 on 2008-05-07 22:02 -Signature hacked by ChatBot- |

Could you try out if the problem still happens with this version:
http://www.trsearch.org/Tools/WADMerger_198b3.zip I made a few changes to the sound loading procedure, there were some weird things in it. Also I noticed that the main.sfx error detecting didn't work as it should.

Thank you Michiel, that seems to have rectified the problem. Items copy across without the error message and Tom2Pc converter recognises the missing TR2 sounds. |

I have a problem with the Wadmerger, when I go to import certain enemies into the wad, something goes wrong with my baddy_1 enemy. When the enemy runs toward you, it looks like their arms are in the air. And when they go to attack it looks funny. Now when I tried to insert my new enemy in my level it appeared but not the entire object model. What can I do to fix this? |

Explorer, do you have custom objects in both BADDY_1 and BADDY_2 slots? Those 2 slots can only be used in the same wad if they use the same animations. Also make sure the enemy is in the correct slots, an enemy made for the BADDY_2 slot will not work in SAS.
I will release the update soon, it's the same as the version posted above with the exception that I will include the updated objects.h file. That one is needed for NGLE to display the RUBBER_BOAT and MOTOR_BOAT objects correctly. As far as I noticed the compatible NGLE version with the extra slots has been released, but the updated objects.h file isn't available yet as far as I know.

In the Wadmerger, I can only copy a certain amount of objects from other wads. If I copy too many objects the level converter will stop working unless I delete some of the objects that I copied. Is this normal? |
