| Michiel | How to install: objects/outfits  |

Because not all objects have a readme.txt file included, here are some instructions of how to install.
Note: This goes for new downloaded objects and outfits only. - Extract all files from to a temp folder using Winzip or Winrar. - Load the wad you want the object added in WADMerger. - Load the downloaded wad as source wad. - Copy all objects to your wad. - Save your wad. These are general instructions that work for most objects. Outfits always take 2 or more objects, but also enemies can have more then 1 object. Mostly this is a _MIP of MESHSWAP object. Then you need to copy them all to make it work. For static or animating objects you can place them in another slot if they are all full. WADMerger will do this by default if SmartCopy is enabled. What are these for, actually? I've found no use for them yet. I suspect them for being in cinema sequences, but they aren't animated... Thanks for the sig, Keith! Me likes! |

MIP: Low polygon version shown when object is far away to reduce processor power.
MESHSWAP: Used with multi-weapon enemies to select another weapon (sword / uzi for baddy_1).

Hi Michiel, since this is a topic about installing outfits, I'm gonna ask my question here! You can delete my thread that contains the same question lol! ^^
Can I install an outfit in a .tr4 file?! WADMerger doesn't open these files, right? Can I convert them into wads then? Thanks! ^^ |

Hi
As far as I know, It can... Maybe you can import the .tr4 file and copy all of the objects over to a WAD file... But you'll still need a project file though... hmm... Any suggestions anybody? Underwater Raider

I downloaded a wad enemy and when I go to play the level it won't show up. You can actually see a little armor looking thing floating in the air where the object was placed. Can someone please tell me how to get it working. |
